My Poem

“Our Precious Moment”

It's so hard to find the perfect night
One warm, quiet and not far
Carrying a beautiful light
And a closeness to the shine of star

It's so hard to find the perfect breeze
One blowing none too hard nor soft
Carrying a scent of wild flowers
And moving clouds about aloft

But they are not hard to find
if we go through together
Although we have a different mind
It is not an obstacle to gather

A sense of belonging
An aura of completeness
A comfortable existence
Adding up and summarizing
The feelings and beliefs
There is no meaningful difference

Controlling the thoughts, words, actions
Capturing the moment
Leading the way for conscious
This is the time we spent

We promise never to untie
The strings we have tied in this lovely place
Our moment is not possible to buy
It is such a precious case

Let our friendship be a bond,
And that's the way it should be
This can never be like a dry pond
This is us and the world will see

I wrote this poem when I was in third semester. I wrote it to join the competition held by ESA. I became the first winner in that competition. I was really surprise because I think this is my first English poem. This is a good start for me to increase my ability in expressing my ideas and feelings through poem. I won’t stop writing, especially writing a poem.
